Root doesn't matter. The cyrus user needs permission to delete. This is a safety feature. sam user.satimiscyrus cyrus all >> > localhost> cm user/satimiscyrus >> > localhost> lm >> > user.groupware (\HasNoChildren) >> > user/satimiscyrus (\HasNoChildren) >> > user.satimiscyrus (\HasNoChildren) >> > >> > Still can't create the subdirectory. It did what you asked, but I don't think you asked for what you wanted. > $ sudo find / -name "*satimiscyrus*" > Password: > /var/spool/cyrus/mail/s/user/satimiscyrus > /var/spool/cyrus/mail/u/user^satimiscyrus > /home/satimiscyrus This looks correct. Note: (1) Cyrus user.satimiscyrus = filesystem user/satimiscyrus (2) Cyrus user/satimiscyrus = filesystem user^satimiscyrus (3) is not a Cyrus mailbox I would expect mail addressed to satimiscyrus to end up in (1). (2) is not a user mailbox. It could work as a bboard mailbox but that's not what you want in this case.
