Gabor, it appears by light perusal that your patch would fix the  
original bug report for this problem: https://bugzilla.andrew.cmu.edu/ 
show_bug.cgi?id=2894

If so, you may want to mark the original a dupe.

Did this truly fix the problem?  If so, when will 2.3.12 ship?
