rename them

lm DELETED/*@ugent.be
shows e.g. DELETED/user/rudy.gevaert/Foo/472F7231@xxxxxxxx

ruby -e 'puts Time.at("0x472F7231".hex)'

rename DELETED/user/rudy.gevaert/Foo/472F7231@xxxxxxxx
user/rudy.gevaert/Foo@xxxxxxxx

subscribe when needed to folder:

cyradm --user cyrus --authz rudy.gevaert@xxxxxxxx -t '' mail1
mail1.ugent.be> sub Foo
