Hi i am trying to get the cyris nntp server to work, but i find the documentation rather lacking. I have read this one http://cyrusimap.web.cmu.edu/imapd/install-netnews.html and thats about all i could find about the cyrus nntp server. I have set it up and have it running, and i can connect to it, but i have no newsgroups and i can not create any. the tools/mknewsgroups perl script from the source is not working either dknntp:/usr/src/cyrus-imapd-2.2.12/tools# ./mknewsgroups -a "anyone +p news write" localhost reading configure file... done connecting... Use of uninitialized value in subroutine entry at /usr/ lib/perl5/Cyrus/IMAP/Admin.pm line 108. (in cleanup) client is not of type Cyrus::IMAP at /usr/lib/perl5/ Cyrus/IMAP/Admin.pm line 108. authenticating... Can't call method "authenticate" on an undefined value at (eval 1) line 157. So, how do i create the newsgroups?
