If you set up ACLs on the users' mailboxes to allow you access then you can create a folder collection in pine pointing at "Other Users/" and navigate from there. Pine also has a 'g' command which lets you enter a mailbox path to access which is possibly more convenient than editting .pinerc, although the mailbox paths are a bit long..
