thanks for your help. it now works like a charm, though I still cannot find that topic on the FAQ.
By the way, is there any further information on setting/using acls in the docs? Especially what the anonymous user is for.

Hmm, this seems to be a FAQ. You have to give anonymous the "p"-Right on the 
Sub-Mailbox to get it working.
