cyrus + gfs again

I know that cyrus has some locking issues with the DBs over gfs. My boss is dead set on active/active solution so the replication routes are off the table.

I saw some postings that it seems the University of Pittsburg had some patches that they never released that seemed to tie into the pid's of processes locking the db's.

So I'm wondering if anyone knows how to go about this or any ideas on how to start looking at the code to make those changes. I'm no expert in C but i know my way around the language.

Any tips or such is greatly needed.

Thanks
Mike
