Hi Sam Use saslauthd by adding the following lines to /etc/imapd.conf sasl_pwcheck_method: saslauthd sasl_mech_list: plain Start saslauthd with /usr/sbin/saslauthd -a pam Or /usr/sbin/saslauthd -a shadow /usr/sbin/saslauthd -a getpwent There are other options which might work better on your system but this one works fine for me.
