And then when returning home (if get home/no temperature for flying) - if want to protect one's family, need to quarantine for 2 weeks. The following week in the U.S. is the Thanksgiving holiday. IETFers will be eating turkey, alone, in the basement.

I'm all for F2F meetings - I believe they are the most effective - but only if the risks for ourselves and families are worth it-

Perhaps more to the point, the risks associated with attending IETF 
aren't merely those associated with the meeting location, but also the 
combination of the risks that everyone faces in traveling to and from 
the meeting.   I have trouble imagining that it will be safe for people 
to travel all over the world, within at least a year and probably more.
