I'd guess that that would not improve things all that much. The best I
can suggest, to get the address book entry into a more reasonable place,
would be something like
Mailing list name (on behalf of author) <list-mailbox@list-hostname>
eg,
IETF Discussion List (Author - Michael Richardson) <ietf@xxxxxxxx>
This at least moves the variable information (author-related) into a
comment string...
