Due to the volume of mail from IETF lists, I have a bunch of procmail
rules to sort them that would break if the lists put the list address
on the From: line.  And, of course, then you can't reply to the author.

I doubt that I'm the only one in this situation.

There are DMARC workarounds that are more work but suck less.
