Indeed, but the organisers seem to be saying there are no, or very few, equivalent types of meeting places like Prague, Vancouver or Minneapolis in Asia, which is I assume why some recent previous Asian meetings have been held outside Asia.

The question then is whether we should compromise or not. Personally, I prefer the large single site venues, moreso when several hours out of my own timezone.
