The whole *point* of PowerPoint is not to educate, but rather to
*persuade*.  Its *goal* is to make the audience stupid and prevent
them from looking beneath the nicely-presented bullet points on the
slides.  If you don't believe me, talk to people involved in sales and
see how they use the word "powerful" -- it means "words that cause
people to act [in the way you want them to]".  PowerPoint -- to make a
powerful point.
