Calling someone a troll is an ad hominem. We aren't supposed to do that in the IETF. At least, not publicly.

To call a very senior, very serious contributor a troll because their slides don't explain something is rather worse than ad hominem.

One could even imagine invoking a criterion that is that inappropriate as qualifying the critic as a troll...
