Hello,
I would like to submit the following comments on RPL-11 draft. These comments were generated from at a ZigBee interop test event
-Regards, Joseph
1. Clarification needed on whether ICMPv6 packets should have min size of 8 bytes. One of the RPL control packets is an ICMP with less than 8 bytes and it is not clear if it should be padded or not
2. Description of "Prefix length" is not clear ( when R flag in PIO is set )
3. Need clairification on the RIO field. If the RIO option is not included, what can the nodes assume about connectivity in the RPL instance ? For example, if OF0 is being used
and the Grounded flag is set, can the nodes assume that the Root has external connectivity even if the RIO option is not included ?
4. Is it really necessary to include the hop-by-hop option in packets with a routing header ?
