A detail that hasn't been comment on yet is that it seems odd to me that only certain members can be chair and, yet, if the chair is not available any voting member may serve.

Note that is doesn't say that any member can serve - it says any member can convene and chair the meetings. This is, of course, done with full visibility from the members at the meeting.

However, I do think you have a point and agree with this suggestion.


I suggest the phrase "any other voting member" be modified to say "any other member who would otherwise be eligible to serve as Chair".


I would remove the redundancy and shorten this to

"Any member eligible to serve as Chair may convene or preside over meetings of the IAOC in the
absence of the Chair."
