NO! IETF patent-encumbered standard

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Much of the communication on the Internet happens between computers
according to standards that define common languages. If we are going to
live in a free world using free software, our software must be allowed
to speak these languages.

We must not allow any one person, small business or Corporation to own standards of common language. Imagine if someone owned the Hyperlink protocol? Imagine if someone owned the universal resource locator protocol?

We must keep Internet and the world wide web open and free.

Anything less and its just digital TV.

yours in free and open expression,
