Try it. We've been having periodical email arguments about Friday
afternoon for years; an experiment is the best way to settle it.
But please do *design* the experiment - what are you going to
measure to find out if it's a success or failure?

Fair comment.

There are of course several different dimensions. One is to see if this reduces conflicts. Another is to see if WGs get all of the time that they request. These are two dimensions that might not be easily seen by many participants, and objective measurement is not straightforward.

A question on the survey that is taken after each meeting is planned to get comments from all meeting attendees.

Do you have other ideas for measuring the success / failure?
