while it's absolutely fantastic to see announcements of specific  locations and dates this far ahead, we seem to have been moving to a  cycle of 3 meetings in North America and 1 abroad recently:

IETF 64, 65, 66, 67 in North America (I know 67 was a fallback)
IETF 68 abroad
IETF 69, 70, 71 in North America
70 was also a fallback when lengthy negotiations for an Asian site terminated unsucessfully
IETF 72 unknown
Will *not* be in North America - Could be Asia or Europe, options for each are being developed.
IETF 73 in North America
2009 74 - Europe, 75 - Asis, 76 - North America, for which sites are already being preqaulified.
2010 North America, Europe, North America are provisionally targeted.

I was under the impression that one of the goals of the advance  meeting planning was to more easily secure international sites for  meetings, where the hotels require earlier booking. That doesn't  quite seem to work out, however?
These days you need to be looking a minimum 18 - 24 months out to find available qualified sites.  It's why we developed the 2008 - 2010 calendar and, I expect,  will be adding 2011 and 2012 dates before Chicago.
