No one has expressed a concern that there was an attempt, here, to game the process, or that re-doing selection will actually produce a problematic nomcom membership. So either retaining the original list or re-doing the selections results in an acceptable set of nomcom members.
The wastefulness and disruption of unnecessarily re-doing selection is unfortunate, but hardly fatal.
