Thank you for letting us know, Christian.

I'm very sorry to hear of Bernard's passing. I had followed his work with interest for years and we virtually crossed paths here and there in various IETF and W3C working groups. I had been looking forward to hopefully meeting him in person someday.

Bernard was a kind and thoughtful contributor and one of the people I looked up to in this space. I'm sure we will all feel his loss deeply. Condolences to his family and friends. May his memory be a blessing.

Many of you certainly know him, and appreciate the work that he did over the years for a better and more secure Internet, in the IETF, IEEE and at Microsoft.

Bernard's funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM at: Herzi Memorial Park<https://h-nt.org/bereavement-funeral-cemetery/>, 16747 Dayton Ave. N, Shoreline, WA 98133.
