Many people are in favor of that. Our plan is after the RFCs are incorporated (only three left!) to get it dispatched to an IETF consensus process. Count me as one of the people in favor of it. BTW - The tracker info is saying this will obsolete RFC5378. RFC5378 is referenced by several core IETF Trust documents and by non-IETF standards
defining RFCs such as RFC5744. Obsoleting RFC5378 would have many big impact in many places both inside and outside the IETF. -glenn |
