I agree that people can change, which is why BCP 83 reasonably provides process for restoration of posting rights.

If the messages you're referring to are the ad hominems I cited in my initial message to this thread, I'll point out that one of them occurred eight days before this PR Action last call was initiated, and I don't believe that eight days is an egregiously long timeframe to look back for a record that bears on "current behavior". (If your concern regards the age of the other message I cited: I purposefully chose a very recent and a very old message to demonstrate a long-running and ongoing pattern.)
