If you want to have snapshots of drafts and lists of issues, Github works great. I'm not sure how we would have this dicussion in Github, though.

One of the nice things about Github is that in the discussion of each issue, you can see the history of all the previous comments. You know, sort of like a top posted e-mail chain.

As I said, let's think about the real issues. I have a lot more trouble with people who respond to messages after reading only the first sentence than I do with people who quote the whole thread in a thoughtful response.
