It is not a different protocol Scott, it is a new header that contains both IP versions through an extension header to either an IPv4 packet or IPv6 packet, which is tunneling. I already explained that before, why people still insists it is a different protocol and I kept saying it is not but it is a solution through adding a new tunnel that contains both IP versions. NOT! almost all of the computers and networking devices now being manufactured in the world support IPv6 so utilization is not a question of support rather it is a question need - not everyone needs something other than IPv4 at this time Scott (yes, I know I should not have fed the troll but ...) > On Sep 20, 2022, at 2:05 PM, Khaled Omar <eng.khaled.omar@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > The issue is, if the world will cross 50% this year, and with this slow progress, as the percentage was 25% 5 years ago, the internet will face the division due to blocks of IPv4 only hosts and big percent of IPv6 only hosts, which is not good at all. > > Also, China is already there. > > <image001.png> > > Khaled Omar > > From: Vasilenko Eduard <vasilenko.eduard@xxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Tuesday, September 20, 2022 7:58 PM > To: Khaled Omar <eng.khaled.omar@xxxxxxxxxxx>; ietf@xxxxxxxx > Subject: RE: IPv6 adoption - IPv10 is the future. > > +8% (0.5B users) because China is not visible on this stat. > Would the world cross 50% this year?
