On affiliations

This year I will be following the same principal that last year's NomCom Chair announced in email at https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/msg/ietf-announce/QCotMyJFDYRcx8IBahE8aGBK_pI/.

For the purposes of counting affiliations (RFC 8713 says no more than two from the same affiliation), all subsidiaries will be treated the same as the parent company. Without commenting on any of the current volunteers, let me give some examples: Chrome, Jigsaw, Google are all Alpha; Linode is the same as Akamai; Futurewei is the same as Hauwei; and so on.

Like Gabe last year, I believe this is the most fair thing to do, and most in the spirit of RFC 8713. It should also require no judgement calls.
