I am more sympathetic, for a couple of reasons

- The "what to do if treated wrongly" procedures are not well-known.  For example, they aren't in the newcomer's tutorials, nor in any recent reminders that I've seen.

- Particularly for newcomers, being on the wrong side of "jerky" behavior can be off-putting, and definitely lead to just walking away; life's too short.

Not proposing any solutions right now as I don't have any good ideas.
