To save others who get curious the work, that minimum wage for a "worker employed in an export enterprise is MUR 9000 per month which comes out as USD 227 and change today. Other full time workers get a minimum wage of MUR 9700 or nearly USD 245, which is a bit above the Early-Bird registration rate but below the Standard one. This drives home, in quantitative terms, a message that others have been trying to deliver: If we have people from developing countries who have been participating remotely for some time, the effect of these registration fees (at least without the waiver lottery) is to exclude their participation and reduce the IETF's diversity -- and likely the quality of the standards process and the international credibility of our work -- from both demographic and perspective standpoints. Ish, thanks for the concrete example. john --On Wednesday, June 10, 2020 07:10 +0400 Ish Sookun <ish@lsl.digital> wrote: > Hello, > >> On Tue, Jun 9, 2020 at 3:39 AM IETF Executive Director < >> exec-director@xxxxxxxx> wrote: >> > >> > Your registration options are: >> > >> > A.
