The procedure Update_limits in section 4.4 Expiration of Nofeedback
Timer ends with the line:
Recalculate X as in step (4) of Section 4.3;
Should that recalculation include oscillation reduction, if you do
oscillation reduction for the receiving a feedback packet case? If it
doesn't, then you'll get a different effect for the same input data,
depending on whether it came from no feedback timeout or a received
feedback packet...
Yep, that is a good question.
I would *hope* that it doesn't make a big difference one way or another,
but I will rephrase the "Recalculate X" statement in Section 4.4 as
follows:
Recalculate X as in steps (4) and (5) of Section 4.3;
Step (5) of Section 4.3 is the following:
If oscillation reduction is used, calculate the instantaneous
transmit rate X_inst, following Section 4.5.
It probably matters most in the case of repeated nofeedback timers.
