New Non-WG Mailing List: TCP Prague -- Evolution of DCTCP designed to live alongside other TCP variants and derivatives

A new IETF non-working group email list has been created.

List address: tcpprague@ietf.org
Archive: https://mailarchive.ietf.org/arch/browse/tcpprague/
To subscribe: https://www.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/tcpprague

Purpose:

This mailing list is to coordinate parallel implementation and standardisation of TCP Prague across platforms. TCP Prague will be an evolution of Data Centre TCP (DCTCP) designed to live alongside other TCP variants and derivatives. DCTCP has demonstrated how minimal latency could be, but it is only applicable in controlled environments such as data centers. This is because the congestion control in DCTCP dominates existing variants (Reno, Cubic, etc) and DCTCP redefines the meaning of TCP-ECN feedback. The defining features of TCP Prague will be:

o Designed to exploit the full potential of ECN in the network
o Marking frequency invariant with flow rate.
