Hello, The IAOC Remote Participation Services Committee provides input to the IAOC on the evolution of IETF Remote Participation Services, including potential remote participation service experiments. The charter of the IAOC RPS Committee is available here: Currently the RPS committee is soliciting additional volunteers with experience operating realtime communication services, and some exposure to WebRTC technology. In terms of workload, the committee meets approximately every 4-6 weeks online. Members are also expected to participate in ongoing pilot projects, either as participants or as operators, so that in addition to meetings, there is an expectation of an additional 5-10 hours/week for pilot testing and/or hosting. As an example, committee members are currently operating pilot XMPP servers and SIP PBXes, as well as testing WebRTC-compatible audio and video conferencing products. If you are interested, please send some information about you and your background as an operator, developer or tester of realtime communications services to iaoc-rps@ietf.org by December 14, 2013. The selection of additional RPS Committee members will be announced by early January, 2014. Thank You, Chris Griffiths Chair, IAOC |
