This document is the product of the Internet Area Working Group.

Technical Summary

   This document sets a requirement that "IP nodes" be able to
   deal with both IPv4 and IPv6.

Working Group Summary

   This was discussed in the INTAREA working group. While not everyone believed
   that an IETF RFC on this matter will be beneficial, many did and no one objected.

Document Quality

   The document has gotten sufficient review in the INTAREA working group.
