The IESG has received a request from an individual submitter to consider the following document: - 'Algorithms for Asymmetric Key Package Content Type ' <draft-turner-asymmetrickeyformat-algs-01.txt> as a Proposed Standard The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits final comments on this action. In particular, this document contains normative references to two documents of lower maturity level: * RFC 2898: "PKCS #5: Password-Based Cryptography Specification Version 2.0"; and * RFC 5649: "Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) Key Wrap with Padding Algorithm". The IESG is interested in community feedback on whether these downward references are appropriate. Please send substantive comments to the ietf@ietf.org mailing lists by 2010-04-19.
