In Neighbor Discover Protocol, routers and hosts record the neighbor
information in the local Neighbor Cache database. It is vulnerable by
malicious attacks. This document analyzes these security threats and
proposes a solution, mainly using reverse detection mechanism, to
prevent the potential damage.
