Technical Summary

This document provides essential corrections and clarifications
to RFC 3095 (ROHC core), RFC 3241 (ROHC over PPP), RFC 3843 (IP
profile), 4019 (UDP-Lite profile), and 4362 (LLA profile). It
contains formal changes (always designed based on "least complex
modification or most logical interpretation to make the protocol
unambiguously defined"), as well as clarifications to questions
often raised by implementers. Implementation experience as well
as observations from current ROHC protocol work have been
guiding the technical content development of the document.

Working Group Summary

This document has grown through concerns from implementers. For
each item identified, strong consensus around the problem and
its corresponding solution has always been established through
an open process on the ROHC mailing list. The final document has
been thoroughly reviewed by the WG, and there is WG consensus
that the document should now be published to update the ROHC
   RFCs it corrects and/or clarifies.

Protocol Quality

Magnus Westerlund reviewed the document for the IESG. The document
was also reviewed by the committed WG document reviewers, Carl
Knutsson and Biplab Sarkar, appointed by the ROHC WG chair.
