Title : A Geopriv Registry for Location-based Error Response Codes
	Author(s)	: J. Polk
	Filename	: draft-polk-geopriv-location-based-error-registry-00.txt
	Pages : 13
	Date : 2006-10-17

This document IANA registers a list of GEOPRIV location-specific
error response indications, to be used by signaling protocols
describing a location-based error experienced by an intermediary or
recipient endsystem. For example, the registered values here can be
placed in a SIP Reason header contained within a 424 (Bad Location
Information) response, or in a Location-to-Service Translation
(LoST) query failure, giving specific meaning to the reason for the
error. This additional information is to provide the location
transmitter more granular information about what was wrong with the
supplied location in the original request message.

NOTE:	The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
	how to manipulate these messages.

Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the
Internet-Draft.
