The IESG has approved the following documents: - 'Definitions of Textual Conventions for Generalized Multiprotocol Label Switching (GMPLS) Management ' <draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-tc-mib-11.txt> as a Proposed Standard - 'Generalized Multiprotocol Label Switching (GMPLS) Traffic Engineering Management Information Base ' <draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-te-mib-16.txt> as a Proposed Standard - 'Generalized Multiprotocol Label Switching (GMPLS)Label Switching Router (LSR) Management Information Base ' <draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-lsr-mib-15.txt> as a Proposed Standard These documents are products of the Common Control and Measurement Plane Working Group. The IESG contact persons are Bill Fenner and Ross Callon. A URL of this Internet-Draft is: http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-lsr-mib-15.txt Technical Summary This is a set of three inter-related documents, which between them contain 5 MIB modules. draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-tc-mib The GMPLS-TC-STD-MIB defines common Textual Conventions for use in the other two documents, and for potential future use in other MIB modules. These Textual Conventions supplement those defined for MPLS-TE in RFC 3811. draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-te-mib This document defines two MIB modules. GMPLS-TE-STD-MIB can be used to model and manage GMPLS LSPs in packet or non-packet networks. LSPs may be configured for signaling at ingress LSRs, and monitored at transit and egress LSRs. This MIB module extends the MPLS-TE MIB module, MPLS-TE-STD-MIB, defined in RFC 3812. IANA-GMPLS-TC-MIB exists to place certain enumerations within the control of IANA for flexible future-proofing draft-ietf-ccamp-gmpls-te-mib This document defines two MIB modules. GMPLS-LSR-STD-MIB can be used to model and manage a GMPLS LSR. If signaling is used, the module is used to examine the cross-connects resources that have been put in place. If signaling is not used, the module can be used to manually configure the LSR to establish a data plane LSP. This MIB module extends the MPLS LSR MIB module, MPLS-LSR-STD-MIB, defined in RFC 3813. GMPLS-LABEL-STD-MIB is used to represent labels and their encoding for configuration and inspection, and for reference by other MIB modules. Thus, entries in the MIB module can be referenced from the GMPLS TE and LSR MIB modules. Additionally, the MPLS-TE LSR MIB (RFC 3813) includes the option to point to an external label definition using a rowPointer, and this can now reference entries in the GMPLS-LABEL-STD-MIB. Working Group Summary The WG process did not identify any controversial issues. There was some discussion about indexing, but this was satisfactorily resolved. The decision to split IANA-GMPLS-TC-MIB out from GMPLS-TC-STD-MIB was taken quite late and as the result of discussions and review. Protocol Quality Bill Fenner reviewed the spec for the IESG. Significant SNMP review came from Tom Petch and Joan Cucchiara. Bert Wijnen provided some helpful supervision of the review. _______________________________________________ IETF-Announce@ietf.org https://www1.ietf.org/mailman/listinfo/ietf-announce
