Protocol Action: 'Example media types for use in documentation' to Proposed Standard

The IESG has approved the following document:

- 'Example media types for use in documentation '
   <draft-taylor-types-example-05.txt> as a Proposed Standard

This document has been reviewed in the IETF but is not the product of an
IETF Working Group.

Technical Summary
 
This document specifies a new top level media type "example" and the sub-type
"/example" for all of the media top level types, i.e. application, audio, image,
  message, model, multipart, text, and video. These type are soley intended to
be used in examples in other standards documents in cases when specific media
types are not required.
