Title : Edge Mobility Protocol (EMP)
Author(s) : J. Wood, K. Nishida
Filename : draft-wood-netlmm-emp-base-00.txt
Pages : 25
Date : 2005-10-21
This document specifies a protocol for localized mobility management
which allows the mobile node to keep using the same IP address while
it is in the same localized mobility management domain. The protocol
enables the edge mobility anchor point to manage the routing path for
the mobile node in the domain, so that the packet form the
correspondent node can be delivered to the access router of MN
currently connecting. For routing path management, the protocol also
specifies the functionality of the access router to provide the MN's
IP address, MN identifier to edge mobility anchor point. The protocol
does not require the mobile node to involve in the mobility
management if link layer technology can provide MN related
information necessary for this protocol.

NOTE: The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
how to manipulate these messages.
Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the
Internet-Draft.
