Title : Requirements and Possible Mechanisms for File
Transfer Services Within the Context of SIP
                          Based Communication
	Author(s)	: M. Isomaki
	Filename	: draft-isomaki-sipping-file-transfer-00.txt
	Pages : 11
	Date : 2005-10-20

This document describes use cases and defines requirements for how
different types of file transfer services could be integrated into
the general Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) based communication
framework. It also explores some of the possible solutions to meet
those requirements, either based on existing protocol mechanisms or
defining minor extensions to them. The purpose of the document is to
start the discussion on whether some new standardization work is
   needed in this area.

Send a message to:

In the body type:
	"FILE /internet-drafts/draft-isomaki-sipping-file-transfer-00.txt".

NOTE:	The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
	how to manipulate these messages.

Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the
Internet-Draft.
