Title : Day and Time based IP Multicast
	Author(s)	: A. Khunger
	Filename	: draft-akhunger-tod-multicast-00.txt
	Pages : 13
	Date : 2005-8-18

This document specifies enhancement to the Internet Group Management
Protocol, IGMPv3. IGMP is the protocol used by IPv4 systems to
report their IP Multicast group memberships to neighboring Multicast
routers. This enhancement for IGMP adds support for ^specifying day,
time and duration with Multicast reports^, that is, the ability for a
system to report interest in receiving traffic for a particular
Multicast address at a particular day, time and for a specific
duration. This information may be used by intermediate routers and
switches to ensure providing better Quality of Service. Also
specifying such information in a consolidated packet may help reduce
signaling load on the multicast routers.

Send a message to:
	mailserv@ietf.org.
In the body type:
	"FILE /internet-drafts/draft-akhunger-tod-multicast-00.txt".

NOTE:	The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
	how to manipulate these messages.

Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the
Internet-Draft.
