Title : Load Sharing in Stream Control Transmission Protocol
Author(s) : A. Abd El Al, et al.
Filename : draft-ahmed-lssctp-01.txt
Pages : 29
Date : 2005-5-19
Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP) RFC2960 [SXM00]
specifications utilize the possible multiple paths between the
sender and receiver for retransmission of lost data chunks and as a
backup for the primary path, in case of primary path failure.
Other than that, all the data chunks are being sent on the primary
path chosen by the SCTP user during the association initiation.
This memo describes an extension to SCTP that allows endpoints to
use the multiple available paths for simultaneous data transmission.
The extension maintains SCTP congestion control on each path, so as
to ensure fair integration with other traffic in the network.

NOTE: The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
how to manipulate these messages.
Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the
Internet-Draft.
