The IP Security Protocol (ipsec) WG in the Security Area has concluded. The IESG contact persons are Russ Housley and Sam Hartman. +++ The IPsec WG has finished their work. It has taken a very long time, but the task is finally accomplished. Good job. There are a few remaining active documents. They deal with the addition of elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) to IKE and IKEv2. This item was abandoned by the WG several years ago, and for good reasons, there is renewed interest. Very few participants are involved in these documents. Therefore, these documents will progress as individual standards-track documents.
