Last Call: (revised) 'DNS Security Introduction and Requirements' to Proposed Standard

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Note: Update to the in-progress Last Call. dnsext-dnssec-records
contains a normative reference to (Informational) RFC 3548. Such a
reference is not normally permitted from a Standards Track document,
unless the need for this is explicitely called out during the Last
Call and is accepted by the community (i.e., per
draft-ymbk-downref-03.txt). This note makes explicit the intention to
reference RFC 3548 in a normative fashion.

The IESG has received a request from the DNS Extensions WG to consider the
following documents:

- 'DNS Security Introduction and Requirements '
   <draft-ietf-dnsext-dnssec-intro-11.txt> as a Proposed Standard
- 'Resource Records for the DNS Security Extensions '
   <draft-ietf-dnsext-dnssec-records-09.txt> as a Proposed Standard
- 'Protocol Modifications for the DNS Security Extensions '
   <draft-ietf-dnsext-dnssec-protocol-07.txt> as a Proposed Standard

The IESG plans to make a decision in the next few weeks, and solicits
final comments on this action. Please send any comments to the
iesg@ietf.org or ietf@ietf.org mailing lists by 2004-09-24.
