The IESG has approved the following document:

- 'Alarm MIB '
   <draft-ietf-disman-alarm-mib-18.txt> as a Proposed Standard

This document is the product of the Distributed Management Working Group.

The IESG contact persons are Bert Wijnen and David Kessens.

Technical Summary

This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB)
for use with network management protocols in the Internet community.
In particular, it describes management objects used for modelling
  and storing alarms.

Working Group Summary

The Working Group has (rough) consensus to publish this document as
a Proposed Standard. There was some discussion on the consistentcy of
terminology as used in IETF and other organizations. The current
result is acceptable and usable. The ITU-T SG 4 was also alerted
(via a Liaison statement) about this work and they have no objection
  to this document being published.

Protocol Quality

Bert Wijnen has reviewed this document for the IESG.
