The IESG has approved the following document:

- 'Publicly Verifiable Nomcom Random Selection '
   <draft-eastlake-rfc2777bis-selection-04.txt> as an Informational RFC

This document has been reviewed in the IETF but is not the product of 
an IETF Working Group. 

The IESG contact person is Harald Alvestrand.

Technical Summary
 
 This document tightens up and extends the random selection mechanism used
 for (among other things) nomcom selection, documented in RFC 2777.
 It is more neutral than its predecessors with regard to types of input,
 and is able to handle larger pools of candidates.
 
Working Group Summary
 
 This document is an individual submission, but has been reviewed by the 
NOMCOM WG. The issues that were raised during nomcom WG review have been 
addressed.
 
Protocol Quality
 
 Harald Alvestrand and Avri Doria have reviewed the document for the IESG.
