Title : SOBER-128: A Fast Stream Cipher with Simultaneous Message Authentication Code
Author(s) : M. Paddon
Filename : draft-paddon-sober128-01.txt
Pages : 26
Date : 2004-2-6
SOBER-128 is a fast software-oriented stream cipher based on simple
32-bit operations. Keys of up to 128 bits and optional nonces of
arbitrary length are supported. SOBER-128 may be configured to
calculate an arbitrary length Message Authentication Code (MAC) as
part of the encryption or decryption process. Source code for
SOBER-128 is freely available, and use of this source code, or
independent implementations, is permitted for any purpose under a fee
free license.

NOTE: The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
how to manipulate these messages.
Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the
Internet-Draft.
