Title : Internet Media Guide Metadata Baseline
Author(s) : J. Luoma
Filename : draft-luoma-mmusic-img-metadata-03.txt
Pages : 24
Date : 2003-12-22
This document defines the base metadata format for Internet Media
Guides (IMGs), applicable to a wide variety of Internet hosts and
communication links. IMG metadata describes files, resources and
multimedia programs available for streaming or downloading via
multicast or unicast. An IMG metadata model, semantics of the IMG
media metadata entities, and an XML-based framing structure for IMG
media metadata are defined. The aim is to reuse existing metadata
standards for the IMG metadata format where possible.

NOTE: The mail server at ietf.org can return the document in
MIME-encoded form by using the "mpack" utility. To use this
feature, insert the command "ENCODING mime" before the "FILE"
command. To decode the response(s), you will need "munpack" or
a MIME-compliant mail reader. Different MIME-compliant mail readers
exhibit different behavior, especially when dealing with
"multipart" MIME messages (i.e. documents which have been split
up into multiple messages), so check your local documentation on
how to manipulate these messages.
Below is the data which will enable a MIME compliant mail reader
implementation to automatically retrieve the ASCII version of the
Internet-Draft.
