Technical Summary

Mapping of Address and Port with Encapsulation (MAP-E) [RFC7597] is a stateless tunnelling transition mechanism to provide the IPv4 connectivity over IPv6 access networks. This documents defines the corresponding Management Information Base (MIB) for using Internet-Standard Management Framework. This MIB module may be used for configuration and monitoring of MAP-E devices.

Working Group Summary

This document was discussed in depth and well-reviewed, including MIB doctor review.
The WG achieves the consensus to publish this document.

Document Quality

There is no implementation for this MIB currently. However, MAP-E is an important protocol for IPv6 transition, while its MIB should be the basis to support the management of MAP-E. The document has addressed all the concerns raised by the WG and the MIB Doctor.

Personnel

Softwire co-chair, Yong Cui, is the Document Shepherd.
Terry Manderson is the Responsible AD.
