The IETF TRILL (Transparent Interconnection of Lots of Links) protocol
is implemented by devices called TRILL switches or RBridges (Routing
Bridges). TRILL includes a general mechanism, called an RBridge Channel,
for the transmission of typed messages between RBridges in the same
campus and between RBridges and end stations on the same link. This
document specifies a method to send vendor-specific messages over the
RBridge Channel facility.

This document is a product of the Transparent Interconnection of Lots of Links Working Group of the IETF.

This is now a Proposed Standard.

STANDARDS TRACK: This document specifies an Internet Standards Track
protocol for the Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions
for improvements. Please refer to the current edition of the Official
Internet Protocol Standards (https://www.rfc-editor.org/standards) for the
standardization state and status of this protocol. Distribution of this
memo is unlimited.
